When I first heard about the fake double eviction twist, I was skeptical. But after seeing how awkward Loveita and Kelsey were together (mainly Kelsey, who looked pissed), I think I love it. Anyway back to the houseguests who are currently in the game:
1. Joel - Had to get blood in his hands this week with a HoH win, and yet he came out of it with nobody blaming him (not even the nominees) and a new-found respect from Dallas' side of the house.
2. Mitch - Whilst Mitch is still playing an impressive game, the first few cracks started to show when third wheel realize he knew about the nominations and feel betrayed. I also have a feeling the secret room could hurt his game. Having said that, he's building a solid link with Raul in the wake of Kelsey's departure and nobody put him up in the knockout comp until the very end.
3. Ramsey - Nothing much to report on the Ramsey front this week, which is a good sign.
4. Cassandra - Seemed happy to see Loveita go for obvious reasons (though she might come back). Her connection to Tim could come back to bite her eventually, but for now there should be others in the crosshairs.
5. Nikki - She's almost completely disappeared from the show, but nobody is paying her any mind and she'll be sitting pretty whoever wins this week.
6. Jared - He's definitely more dangerous now without his showmance, and should have more people willing to work with him. If Dallas gets his way though, he won't be totally off the hook.
7. Philippe/Nick - Not sure why these guys were so happy to get Loveita out...she had their back more than most people. It's hard to say where their game goes from here...Kelsey was definitely an asset to their game, but now they might be able to bromance with Jared.
8. Tim - He's turned into a sloppy overplayer...I dunno what he was thinking with asking to be nominated, but he could've easily got Parhar'ed. Mitch is also onto him so I think they might clash sooner rather than later.
9. Maddy - What was this girl thinking? Loveita was not after you, dummy! Does she just hate women that much? Jared winning and putting her on the block will be sweet karma. I'm not dropping her low because I think anyone will target her, it's because I've lost my faith in her ability to make good decisions.
10. Raul - For all his talk about how Joel was nothing without the people around him, I think Raul is gonna be a bit of a chicken with his head cut off now that third wheel is gone. That could help him if he's now seen as harmless, or it could make him an easy pawn (like he was for Maddy already).
11. Dallas - He looked really frustrated and pissed off by his ally's choices, and for good reason. Dallas has made no secret of his desire to target third wheel, and they're sure to target him right back.

BBCAN4 Week 4 power rankings
Well, history repeats itself as Loveita fails to get her target out and Christine is sent packing. This has been a very weird season where the quiet people are getting weeded out early, and I'm pretty grateful for it. Here's my weekly rundown, which I'm writing without knowledge of who won HoH:
1. Mitch - He'll have to pick a side soon, but I think he's shown enough smarts to be able to adapt to the game. Every time he talks strategy he's making solid decisions.
2. Joel - The nerd gets more rootable every day, and is doing a great job as Mitch's right hand man. Winning back Loveita's trust will be key.
3. Ramsey - I'm starting to feel good about Ramsey again. The target has almost completely disappeared from his back and it's hard to see him sniffing the block this week.
4. Nikki - Well, she only threatened to quit once this week, so that's something. Sometimes her head is in the game, sometimes she's just classic volatile Nikki. Either way, no-one sees her as a threat.
5. Maddy - Her smooch sessions with Nick would land her in hot water with Phil if anyone found out, but otherwise there are bigger fish to fry. Her dynamic with the brothers reminds me of a couple of horny teenagers sneaking around under the nose of the strict father.
6. Loveita - Loveita's bizarre HoH might actually work out in her favour somewhat. She has a deal with third wheel that they'll probably keep, and she also made progress with some of the floaters (despite them voting against her). I wouldn't be surprised if she's used as a pawn, but who is gonna target her other than Cassandra?
7. Tim - He's smart but he's scheming too hard, so I knocked him down a bit. The vote to evict Cassandra was a transparent attempt to stir the pot and even his best friend Nikki got sick of his shit. His overplaying might catch up with him very soon.
8. Cassandra - Off the block, but is she totally out of the woods? She still has a lot of people in the house that aren't huge fans of her. Even Kelsey is losing patience with her.
9. Raul - The least threatening of the third wheel, but could also be seen as an expendable pawn. Those haven't fared too well this season.
10. Kelsey - Kelsey thinks she's the mastermind doing all the work in the house, but let's see what happens when someone willing to make a big move gets in power.
11. Dallas - The beast from the east has been a pretty big trainwreck so far, and has talked a big game without delivering. Too many people think he's shady and he's now added "comp threat" to his CV with a veto win. He stands to lose the most from Cassandra staying.
12. Philippe/Nick - Dallas wanted them as a backdoor this week, and they'll probably continue to be a huge target. They've also shown they're not great under pressure either, so watch them dig their own grave when their name comes up.
13. Jared - Yes, I put Jared bottom last week and was dead wrong...but he's still on dangerous ground with a lot of people seeing him as the alpha male of the house and itching to take a shot.
1. Mitch - He'll have to pick a side soon, but I think he's shown enough smarts to be able to adapt to the game. Every time he talks strategy he's making solid decisions.

BBCAN4 Week 3 power rankings
Ok, so Jared and Kelsey proved themselves pretty insufferable in power, but thankfully that's a thing of the past now. Loveita was their original target, but it seemed Sharry was seen as the bigger threat. Bet they wish they pushed harder now though, seeing as Loveita is back up in the HoH and sure to have them in her sights.
1. Mitch - I keep forgetting Mitch is in the house a lot of the time...and that's a great thing for his chances. He won't be targeted anytime soon, and has some good reads on people - he's one of the few not underestimating Tim for example.
2. Joel - Haha, Joel is probably so glad he didn't end up with that HoH. That would've only hurt his game, becuse he's perfectly positioned in the middle as a neutral party right now, which is the place to be in a season with no strong alliances. He still has strong connections though, including Loveita.
3. Tim - Man, Tim was made for this game. He has the best social game in the house everybody loves him and feeds him information. I'm particularly enjoying his connection with Cassandra.
4. Cassandra - I must admit, Cassandra is a much better player than I thought she would be. She helped Loveita to stay, so she's not going up this week. The only thing she has to worry about is Dallas, but she's thrown enough shade on him to be able to come out on top of that feud.
5. Christine - Christine won a veto this week, to the surprise of many. She keeps saying she wants to be a floater but people might get tired of that.
6. Philippe/Nick - The Paq brothers have been another nice surprise, and have connections on several sides of the house. But if their flirting doesn't catch up with them, their competition prowess might.
7. Maddy - She's sorta-aligned with Loveita, and is also unlikely to be a direct target even when the other alliance takes power.
8. Ramsey - Ramsey hasn't really clicked with many people in the house, but he's not really bothering anyone either. He's fine where he is...for now.
9. Loveita - Surviving the block, she now has a second chance to repair her game. Hopefully she learned from the mistakes of her first HoH, but I think the reason she was kept in was to always be a target. It'll be hard for her to win all the way to the end.
10. Nikki - There's no reason for anyone to go after Nikki at this point. the only reason she's this low is she's something of a quit risk. But I don't think it'll be this week...she finally has a chance to see the clique squirm, how could she want to miss out on that?
11. Kelsey - Even though Kelsey was Loveita's target before, she probably has the best chance of surviving a Third Wheel slaughter...in the long term, if not the short term.
12. Dallas - Man, Dallas has been such a sloppy player so far....I don't think he's long for this game at all. After admitting to lying about his vote, nobody really trusts him anymore, and he is a major target for a lot of people.
13. Raul - Ended up on Nikki's shitlist with his vodka-hogging, and Tim's not a fan either. He doesn't seem interested in playing the game outside of seeing how far he can get up Jared and Kelsey's ass, so don't be surprised if he ends up going home this week if he's on the block.
14. Jared - I thought this guy would be way better socially than he is, but he's mostly just kept to his own little clique...and it'll cost him, because Loveita is probably gonna try and send him out the door this week.

BBCAN4 Week 2 power rankings
Aaand I'm back again already! But a lot has changed. I didn't expect Paige's eviction, but I guess she was just too quiet. Shame, as getting out the showmance fodder this early would've actually been quite revelatory.
1. Jared - He got what he wanted this week - his cuddlebuddy staying - without even having to work that hard for it.
2. Mitch - He voted on the right side of the numbers, which tells me he's making connections and staying in the loop.
3. Joel - Sharry said she wanted Joel to go home, but that was before the vote flipped. I'm sure she'll be more pissed at other people than him.
4. Kelsey - Kelsey's boobs looked amazing in that shell bra, and it's that sex appeal that kept her around. Showmances are very powerful in this game...I'm sure there's a lot of people that will regret not taking her out when they had the chance.
5. Raul - Was in on the plan to get Paige out. Probably floating in the middle right now.
6. Christine - Loveita implied she didn't have many connections, but she had enough to be included in the vote. Her "I've been waiting 16 years to say this" line was odd....maybe she has a vendetta against Paige.
7. Ramsey - Had to knock him down a bit, since he voted on the wrong side, but I think he'll have enough time to recover.
8. Dallas - Same as Ramsey. I'm sure he'll be able to bond with the bros as well as keep pimping the ladies.
9. Philippe/Nick - Loveita gave them a reprieve this week, and they repaid her by undermining her HoH. It's a risky strategy but they kinda had to play big. Keeping the other distractions around will help them a lot...and two more have just walked in the door.
10 . Nikki - I can't believe I'm saying this, but Nikki might actually be the lower-key wildcard? I'm not sure of her capacity to play the game, but if she stays naive and adorable she could skate on by for a while.
11. Tim - He's not even in the house and he's already insulting another houseguest. That might not bode well if the others don't get his sense of humour. But his arrival is a godsend for Nick and Philippe, so expect them to lock something down. By the time he's available for nomination, he might have worked enough magic to stick around.
12. Cassandra - Has a target on her back for being annoying, as I predicted. If she's working with Jared and the brothers though, they might protect her.
13. Maddy - Nobody told her Kelsey was staying, so she's probably not gonna be a mover or shaker. She also has a big mouth, saying "that's unfair" to the wildcard twist. Welcome to Big Brother.
14. Sharry - As Loveita's right-hand woman for her failed reign of power, she might end up guilty by association. And we haven't really got a good sense of her comp skills yet.
15. Loveita - You can so easily go from the top to the bottom in this game, and that's exactly what's happened to Loveita. She has some major damage control to do, and the majority have all the excuses they need to just send her right out.

BBCAN4 Week 1 power rankings
Since it's a new season, I'm probably gonna revamp the blog a little bit. Episodic recaps are out, instead, here's the first of a weekly rundown of each houseguest, based on their position in the game:
1. Ramsey - This guy immediately struck me as likeable. He's also athletic and should be able to stay under-the-radar long enough to make that final push. Ending up in the middle of the pack in the challenge is exactly where he needs to be....keeps the attention off him.
2. Jared - Jared played the HoH comp perfectly...made a deal for his safety, and avoided being the one to have to make a decision. He looks good at comps, but isn't relying solely on them...and he seems to have a showmance incoming.
3. Dallas - Dallas seems to be very well-liked by the rest of the houseguests from what we saw. He clearly has a big presence and was leading that roundtable. Could that lead to him being a control freak? I hope not. He was also out of the challenge surprisingly early.
4. Loveita - The first HoH! Well, she proved she can perform in comps, which should be enough to get her into the initial majority alliance. However, it depends how she plays it from here...the wrong nominations could make enemies.
5. Mitch - He's a hot favorite to do well, and for good reason. I'm not fully on board though, as he might have an irritating smugness to him. And how can he possibly claim his YouTube videos are watched in every country in the world? I somehow doubt people in North Korea are watching Mitch.
6. Sharry - Bad luck getting knocked off the pedestal. I have a good feeling about her though, so I'll put her high. The first lesbian on the show, her story should resonate with people. It did with me.
7. Joel - Defied expectations by not being the first out of the challenge and the twist allowed him to secure his safety with little fanfare. But the fact people think he sucks at comps is not the best first impression. He's not going home this week, but how long can he avoid the block if nobody takes him seriously?
8. Paige - Paige is very under-the-radar but I'm a little higher on her chances than Kelsey's, who I'm getting her confused with. The lack of a showmance should help reduce her target and she probably has more personality too.
9. Kelsey - All we know about Kelsey is that Maddy doesn't like her and that she's probably going to hook up with Jared. If history repeats, she'll float to the final 5 but then fall short.
10. Maddy - Hater! But really, I actually found Maddy's feistiness pretty fun - of course, her cute butt helps. Whether it's a hit with the other houseguests remains to be seen, but I don't see her being a week 1 target.
11. Christine - She seemed to be well-received when she told everybody her age, but people who drop out first can often be an easy nomination. Parents have a tendency to be outcasts, and she might end up being seen as a lame duck.
12. Raul - He seems a little irritating, and doesn't seem to have much strategy. I think he'll rub people up the wrong way and go early.
13. Cassandra - She got some serious shade from BB when they cut to her after Dallas talked about people "who think their shit don't stink". Clearly she's one of the bigger personalities in the cast, but is she gonna win? No.
14. Philippe/Nick - Man, the night just got worse and worse for the brothers. First they get forced into this twist that puts a huge target on their backs from the start. Then they get made to look like liars by Arisa. Then Nick fails to win the challenge, gets sent to solitary and even knocks Sharry over on the way down. They just scream "easy first boot" right now. Their only hope may be to win the veto.
